Google's Responds To Apple's Lawsuit Against HTC

We have all evidently heard the Apple/HTC lawsuit. Google who is not part of this lawsuit has decided to support HTC saying that it would stand behind its Android operating system and the partners who have helped them develop it.

Analysts have speculated that this lawsuit is a direct shot from Apple at the Android OS and the breakdown of patent claims seems to confirm that. If needed Google will be coming to the aid of its OS.

We are not sure what form of assistance Google will be providing to HTC if Google feels that its OS is being threatened. But we are speculating that it could be monetary or maybe some advice or even providing them with a team of lawyers. That will all depend on which way the case goes -- its still a long way from the point where these companies would have to go court and make their case. Apple seems to be in this for the long haul, but if it all comes down to writing a check, Google may end up signing it as well.
