CBS CEO Leslie Moonves has flatly told the Financial Times that they "are certain shows that will be sold on Apple for 99 cents." There isn't much room to misinterpret what Moonves has said. Other networks aren't speaking on the record just yet but the Financial Times has reported that other companies have agreed to similar terms as well. Many companies are said to launch their shows at the lower price soon enough - coinciding with the launch of the iPad. Peter Kafka of All Things Digital claimed that sources have told him that the CBS is open to deal with Apple but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. What do you guys think of the whole ordeal? It seems like a good deal for us consumers considering we will be paying less for the same products but is there an ulterior motive behind this ? You never know, most companies do things that will prove to be profitable.
