As you well know, Apple released an iPad simulator as part of the iPhone OS 3.2 SDK earlier this year.
However, as developers are working with the simulator they might have realized, there is no direct way to access Safari from iPad's simulator, instead it can be accessed in a roundabout way.
Apple Engineers are still working on few issues with iPad Safari, which is the reason it is not directly available even in the latest beta of iPhone OS 3.2 SDK.
However, some people have figured out how to access it from iPad's simulator. Here are some of the features, which are similar to the ones available on iPhone or iPod Touch's Safari browser:
- Ability to add bookmarks to the home screen that will link to specific websites.
- Bookmarks menu option that provides a drop-down of all bookmarked web pages.
- Option to toggle the default search engine between Google and Yahoo.
- List of up to 10 keyword
- suggestions displayed while typing on the search box
- Automatic form fill option to remember user name and passwords.
