While waiting on Google's Chrome OS, we can keep things lively with the Chromium OS, which is a working version of the OS in what you can consider to be a beta form. Hexxeh just released a new build named Flow, which makes various critical improvements, particularly for those running an Ion-based rig. Flow includes ful NVIDIA Ion acceleration and it also "improves battery life" on top of fixing small things like making the automatic update feature actually work. For those of you who have been itching to try out the new OS, the weekend might be a good time to do it so you have some time to fix things if things go awry.
