Notion Ink, Stepping Into Tablet Market - Announces ADAM

Notion Ink's Adam Tablet Will Have Flash, Output At 1080p and Have
Battery Life 2x Longer Than iPad

And the competition begins, Notion Ink has been rumored to come out with a tablet that will battle it out with the iPad. From what we saw of this Adam tablet, it can give a little competition to the giant Apple product (but that’s about it). The Adam tablet is slated to come in two versions—a 12.9mm or a 11.6mm.

This device will pack a flash, outputting video at 1080p (iPad can only manage up to 576p) and about a million applications. There’s also a Nvidia chip and Pixel Qi screen hidden somewhere there.  But the best thing about this tablet is that it is rumored to come in with some high-powered battery that can last two times more than the Apple iPad.

Recognizing that despite offering more spec than the iPad they still have a battle on their hands, they're encouraging development for the Adam with a $1m bounty being put up for creating apps. They haven't officially announced the competition yet, but as soon as we hear we'll let you know how you can put your creative genius to work.

By the way, this will be powered by an Android operating system. The company hasn’t officially announced what more they can bring to the table, except for the fact that they plan to launch this tablet next week. Also, I dare say that this one will be comparatively cheaper than the iPad.
