Sony's Camera Concepts At The PMA Convention

PMA is kicking off down in Anaheim, South Carolina and Sony has arrived to it with a bang. Looking to make a splash in the world dominated by Canon and Nikon (the DSLR market), Sony has brought some of its best concepts to the convention. The first being an ultra-compact 'interchangeable lens' concept, which is Sony's attempt to get in on the Micro Four Thirds game before it blows up big. The details are still not clear as of yet but we will keep you updated as soon as the company releases more info. The next concept is the model of the Alpha A700 replacement, complete with an Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor that promises full AVCHD video capabilities. There is also a prototype of a Super Telephoto Lens (500mm F4 G) as well as another prototype Distagon T 24mm F2 ZA SSM (for those wife angle junkies.) Sony also seems to be dishing out a ton of accessories including underwater housing devices, HD lenses, and output cables, tripods, accessory packs, and a Compact Picture Station photo printing kiosk. Stay tuned for more info as it is released to the public!
