So you were trying to jailbreak your iPhone\iPodTouch or were trying to install some package from Cydia, and now your device is stuck at the Apple boot logo? No worries there's an "app for that" - named CaniHazRecover that will help recover your device.
Sometimes, the only solution to re-activate your iPhone is a complete restore of Firmware, it often happens in case of an unstable jailbreak or a conflict of packages from Cydia. CaniHazRecover will permit you to restore only the necessary files to a clean start of your device while protecting your data that's saved into the media partition (music, pictures etc).
Supported devices - iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch, iPod Touch 2G NON MC (yet to be tested). The tool is currently available for Mac only.
- Download CaniHazRecover here.
- Unzip and run the app.
- Follow steps which bring you to DFU mode.
- Follow all steps and you should recover your device without any loss of data.
