HP Introduces First Multi-Touch Tablet

HP introduced its first multitouch-enabled tablet for business users, the exceptional HP EliteBook 2740p. With its rugged military standards resistance to shock, dust and high temperatures this tablet convertible comes with a 12.1” multitouch capable 1280 x 800 display. It has a stainless steel finish and magnesium casing.

Making it ideal for users on the go, the Elitebook combines power and reliability of an HP business notebook with the flexibility of a tablet. The HP EliteBook 2740p offers a number of battery solutions for light weight configurations. HP DriveGuard technology also protects the 160/250GB hard disk from damage resulting from shocks and vibration.

The HP EliteBook 2740p will be available in the US in April, starting at $1600.
