This is very exciting news for all you NFL fanatics out there. There were speculations that the NFL would bring RedZone channel to phones this season, looks like it has come to fruition.
NFL Mobile will debut next month at the same time as the drafting season. It offers RedZone, live streaming of Sunday night and Thursday night games, on-demand video highlights and analysis, live home and on the go radio broadcasts, fantasy info, and the usual nasty ringtones and graphics. Similar to the iPhone\iPodTouch App announced by CBS Sports.
This is all very good news to Verizon subscribers, Verizon has the exclusivity to this deal for the next four years. According to the Wall Street Journal this cost Verizon a whopping $720 million.
As the launch date gets near, we should have more details as to what device this app will run on and how much it will cost.
