GeoHot Announces Jailbreak for iPad

Geohot, the iPhone jailbreaker who has released popular jailbreaking and unlocking tools like blackra1n, blacksn0w has just announced that he has jailbroken iPad.

In a post, tweeted earlier, he shows how his iPad runs in verbose mode to confirm it has been jailbroken.

Geohot announced his latest achievement via the following tweet:

“Verbose iPads look cool”

He has also published a screenshot to prove it:

In verbose mode, you see all the stuff that happens behind the scene when you reboot the iPad. Since Geohot has managed to boot the iPad into verbose mode, it confirms that he has jailbroken it. Yesterday, he had also published the keys for iPhone OS 3.2 firmware in a post:

We will have to wait and see when Geohot will release tools to jailbreak iPad and also jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3 as users are eagerly waiting for it.

Earlier in the week, iPhone Dev Team had also jailbroken the iPad using the ‘Spirit’ jailbreak, which also works on the iPhone 3.1.3 OS.
