Apple's iPad Sold Out?

Apple iPad's are selling out like hot cakes as Apple promises to introduce the device to more countries at the end of the month. Apples stores across the country are running out of the popular iDevice. Some outlet stores in New York, San Francisco, and LA have sold out. 13 cities including Chicago, Miami, Boston, Seattle, Denver and five other cities has either run out of stock or has a limited number of units available. Most of the stores have no idea as to when the iPad stock will be replenished.

Apple also confirmed it has sold over one million iPads since the product launched last month - it sold its one millionth iPad on Friday, just 28 days after its introduction on April 3. Available only in the US while Apple deals with what it has called higher than expected demand, the sales record naturally spun further eloquence from Apple’s Steve Jobs, who notes: "One million iPads in 28 days—that's less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone."

“Demand continues to exceed supply,” said Apple spokesperson, Natalie Kerris, saying the company’s “working hard” to meet demand.
