Chrome Web Store Announced By Google
Google announced the Chrome web store for apps today at I/O 2010. The web store is set to debut later this year at an unspecified time and is set to allow users to install web-based applications that will run in native code such as Flash. Some of the applications that were shown included live demos of Dark Room, Plants vs. Zombies, and Lego Star Wars. The web-based applications weren't the only things that were announced though, magazines were as well. Sports Illustrated was on stage and it showed off a sleek looking example which included slideshows, videos, live scores, and more. Feature-rich advertisements were also shown off.
