iOS 4 Already Jailbroken Within A Day Of Its First Release

After the Gold Master release of iOS 4 was seeded to developers yesterday, the jailbreak news arose. To everyone's surprise, the next iPhone's software has been surprisingly accommodating to jailbreakers who wish to attempt cracking it. The current technique was finalized from existing jailbreak software (Pwnagetool to be specific) by msft.guy. On top of this pre-release hack, the iPhone Dev Team also claims to have an unlock also prepped up for iOS 4 final, which is to be released within a month (coinciding with the release of iPhone 4). In other words, once iOS 4 is officially released, you should be able to jailbreak your phone right away, or at least on the iPhone 3GS, no one has been able to test the software on the iPhone 4. You can watch video proof of a jailbreak iOS 4 GM iPhone below:

For those of you who are trying to jailbreak your current phone, you can follow our instructions here, but it's probably a bad choice. The final release of the osftware is set for the end of this month, at which point the new jailbreak should be out, which switching to would make more sense because your jailbreak will last longer than a few weeks.
