Nintendo's 3DS Possibly Getting Mii - Digital Avatars

Nintendo previously dropped the hint that the popular Miis (the profile characters from Nintendo Wii) could be heading to the Nintendo 3DS by including some Mii=like characters in the Pilotwings demo at E3 last month. Shigeru Miyamoto, the head of Nintendo himself has offered more info regarding the topic that Nintendo is at least looking at the possibility. In an interview with IGN earlier this week, he says that it is "something that we are definitely giving consideration to," and that Nintendo wants to "continue to try to allow people to use their Miis on different Nintendo systems going forward." Although it isn't complete confirmation that it is something definite and bound to happen, it does sound very positive and it sounds like Miis will soon come to handheld systems. It would be a wise move on Nintendo's behalf to do this anyway as Microsoft has been working hard at integrating XBL profiles into Windows Phone 7 as well.
