By far the most appealing thing seen at Microsoft’s MIX10 event so far today has been the unveiling of the Windows Phone Marketplace that is being released simultaneously with the Windows Phone 7 Series and needless to say, it looks amazing. It supports ad-supported content, credit card purchases, and operator billing. A hot topic right now with is Google’s and Apple’s mobile advertising acquisitions and also a try before you buy scheme which is similar to the Android Market’s policy. The Marketplace in action and it looks very polished and well integrated with the Windows Phone 7 Series way of getting around (which consists of panoramic views where you can browse categories, titles, see featured items, and get details with ratings, reviews, screenshots, and pricing information.
