Patents Suggest Camera-Based Swipe Controls Coming To iPhone
There has been so much hype about the new iPhone to be released this summer. Apple has made a brilliant move, as to making it more appealing to consumers by turning the iPhone’s camera into a swipe pad. This technology was unveil by the people at Patently apple. By simply swiping one finger across the iPhone camera users can fast forward and rewind their voice mails and also browse the web or scroll through their contact list.
By tapping the camera with your forefinger you can access different phones or UI functions. These controls are touch sensitive and can also be used with iPad if it ever gets a camera.
This patent was filed in Q3 of 2008, left just enough time for Apple to have implemented the tech by summer. Hopefully this is worth they wait.
