iPhone OS 4.0 Jailbroken

Apple announced the next generation of iPhone firmware “iPhone OS 4.0″ yesterday showing all over 100 news features, and over 1500 new API’s which were made available to the developers with the SDK.

Within 24hrs, a Jailbreak for iPhone OS 4.0 has been announced and shown in a video demo by The Dev-Team member MuscleNerd.

Unfortunately, the video is brief and reveals nothing about the actual jailbreak. Obviously, we can only assess that the iPhone OS 4.0 is jailbroken because the VNC server doesn't come with stock iPhone 04 4.0 firmware. The iPhone OS 4.0 jailbreak will be released when the firmware 4.0 is out for general public. There has been no word from GeoHot or p0sixninja who had announced the “GreenP0ison” jailbreak tool.

Apple won’t be happy to know this so expect changes between now and the final 4.0 build release.

We at MGN will keep you posted of any developments that occur, in the meantime you can follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our RSS feeds.
