Google Releases Android 2.2 Froyo Source Code
Although it isn't hitting the bulk of Nexus Ones, Google released the source code for Android 2.2 today. This is a good sign that the code has been readied for the Open Handset Alliance's satisfaction and is also ready for deployment across a number of phones from different manufacturers and carriers. It's still ultimately up to the important people to decide when various models will get the upgrade but this is the day where the countdown to those announcements can begin.
