[How To] Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Beta 1 With RedSn0w 0.9.5 Beta 5

Apple seeded iOS 4.1 and SDK 4.1 Beta 1 to developers yesterday, and it's already announced to be jailbroken. You can jailbreak iOS 4.1 beta on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G (Non-MC) with RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5-5. In this guide you’ll learn how to jailbreak iPhone 3G and jailbreak iPod Touch 2G (non-MC) running iOS 4.1 using RedSn0w 0.9.5b5-5. Read the important part below and continue jailbreaking your iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G (non-MC) on iOS 4.1 firmware.

IMPORTANT:
  • RedSn0w is a Jailbreak NOT an unlock.
  • RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5-5 supports both the iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (non-MC version).
  • RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5-5 jailbreaks iOS 4.1 beta 1 and iOS 4.0 final
  • It also hacktivates iPhone 3G
  • iOS 4.1 beta comes with updated baseband which is NOT unlockable ATM. So, all the iPhone 3G users depending on unlock MUST stay away from iOS 4.1.
  • For both Windows and Mac OS X.
NOTE:

Apple is expected to push iOS 4.01 to general public soon and will stop signing iOS 4.0 so it’s best time to save SHSH blobs of iOS 4.0 for iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch 3G, 2G (MC) in order to secure future jailbreak:
